Exhibits

The event is spread out across much of the venue where many historical and important exhibits can be found. Don’t miss the Demonstration Room if you are a fan of the Christmas Lectures!

History of the Royal Institution

Based in Mayfair, London, the Royal Institution (RI) is both a fitting and functional venue for Collaborate 24. The institute dates back to 1799 as a venue to introduce emerging technologies and teach science to the general public.

For over two centuries, the building and laboratories have been home to ground-breaking science engagement, including the world-famous Christmas Lectures that are hosted in the Theatre. Scientists such as Michael Faraday have used the RI to present new discoveries that have helped shape the modern world, with the laboratories used in the discovery and isolation of no less than 10 elements.

Collaborate 24 is fortunate enough to occupy the entire Institute, including the Theatre, the Demonstration Room and the Conversation Room. Many scientific exhibits of historical importance can be seen up close throughout the venue.

The Royal Institution is a charitable trust and Collaborate 24 are pleased to support this valuable cause and encourage our guests to do the same.
